However, the gameplay trailer that is currently on Steam for this is terrible, it looks slow and boring and nothing like what I am sure the final game will be.
The popularity of games like Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag, Sea of Thieves, and if you want to go old school, Monkey Island show that there is a desire for pirate games. One of the main problems that I feel Corsairs Legacy - Pirate Action RPG is going to have is winning people over. The main character is even called Jack… which is a little on the nose if I am being honest, but the idea of playing as a pirate who is trying to live his best pirate life is something that I can certainly get behind.
